Neil Schwimley, DO, FAANA, FAAOS
Dr. Neil L. Schwimley is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist with over 25 years of medical and military experience. A retired Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves, Dr. Schwimley has dedicated his career to serving both his country and his patients through compassionate, evidence-based orthopedic care. Dr. Schwimley earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in 1998 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Michigan. He later pursued advanced fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at the renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Throughout his distinguished military career, Dr. Schwimley deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as the sole orthopedic surgeon in Forward Surgical Teams, providing life-saving surgical care under combat conditions. His leadership and dedication earned him multiple commendations, including the Bronze Star Medal and several Meritorious Service Medals.
